Added leaderboard to top of topic views

These new ads at GC will apply only to Guests. Not only will it help to monetize traffic from them, it may also push them to register since registered (and logged in) users don’t get the ads.

One concern I have is whether Google will continue to show the ads with higher bid prices in the lower spots for visitors that don’t see the top leaderboard. Do the ads served depend on the code calling them, or the specific user? I’m thinking it’s for the specific user, since they’re also geo-targeted (so I hear). If that’s the case, how often do they update their records? If a Guest registers and logs in, how long until Google realizes they’re only calling one ad set (the one at the end of topics) instead of two?

As a side note, I have received confirmation from Google that this journal is acceptable:

“Please note that creating a blog to describe your experiences with Google
AdSense is acceptable according to our program policies. Please simply
ensure that you are in line with all of these policies as you create each
post. …

Sincerely,

Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh
