whois shows that the domain gmail.com was created back on Aug 13, 1995 [whois.net], which is actually before google.com domain was created (Sep 15, 1997 [whois.net]).
Google will be launching a free email service providing 1 GB (yes, one gigabyte) of storage for every single user!

Slashdot | Yahoo and Hotmail Filter Flaw
GreyMagic Software, an Israeli computer security firm, has discovered a serious security flaw in Yahoo and Microsoft’s email services which allows hackers to run malicious programs on users’ computers. According to the website, all attempts to contact Yahoo unfortunately failed.

Walnut High School is doing the play Guys & Dolls. I have nothing to do with it, but I liked the tune of the “can do, can do, can do” song in it. So I’m posting here the lyrics for your enjoyment.
Ah. I think my essay looks good, but I’m afraid it’s going to look stupid when I read it tomorrow (and I’m not as sleepy).
Wow! I’ve never heard of this before, and I haven’t tried it yet, but apparently you can use standard hardware and get 1.72 MB (almost a 20% gain) out of standard 1.44 MB floppy disks. Read the rest of this entry »
