I have a scribble space over on BlogSpot. It’s partly a test ground for the Blogger beta, which I’m very impressed with, and partly a place for me to jot down ideas which aren’t good enough to be full-fledged posts. I’ve dubbed it Written Rough Drafts, and this is my first time revealing it to the world. If you have time to spare or want to see random stuff running though my mind, pay a visit. Who knows? It has less exposure than this blog, so something intriguing might actually happen over there.

Saw this on Yahoo’s front page. Wouldn’t have remembered it otherwise. On this day in the year 1941, Japanese attacked the base of the U.S. Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Roosevelt decided at that point to enter World War II. That’s a big event in history. Certainly I find it intriguing to think about. What would you think, if you had lived back then? What does it mean for us going forward? As I’ve blogged about in the past, it seems that a lot of good things came out of that war. I’m sure I wouldn’t be typing on my blog right now if it wasn’t for the technology invented during the war. But who knows? Maybe we’re worse off.
