This site, intelliot.com, started March 8, so these statistics don’t cover the whole month of March, but they’re interesting anyway.
Google’s new free webmail service isn’t about the 1 GB space. It’s about amazing search technology. Forget filing and organizing email messages. That’s a thing of the past. With Gmail, you just type in a word or two that you remember from the email you’re looking for, and hit “Search Mail”. Instantly, the message appears. When you view it, the search terms are highlighted. Excellent.
The difference between some web-scripting guy, and a guy who knows CS, is like difference between an automechanic and an automotive engineer. The engineer might not be able to fix your engine, but he understands the workings of it much better than your average mechanic.

the exam was easier than i expected. it was multiple choice and short answer. a majority of the multiple choice questions were about java, but there were a couple more general ones, such as converting hexadecimal to decimal. the short answer, or written part of the exam was worth half the grade and was all about writing java code. however, it was fairly simple classes and methods, mainly about using for loops and arrays. there was also adding on to the MBS (marine biology case study) program. they included a ~30 page appendix with method definitions and much of the source code from MBS classes - a lot more than you need. nothing needed to be memorized; you could do it with basic programming logic and the reference book which we were allowed to use during the test.
Maybe I’ll do an analysis of it later, because I don’t agree with all of it. But a lot of it is good.
