A friend had this problem today. Here’s the information I’ve managed to collect.
Description:
Error category 4
Error code 1
Message:
Out of system resources.
Application failed to initialize.
Property (0vc0000017).
Unknown error.
Try again later.
Solution:
Firewall configuration.
Fix:
1. Check firewall configuration and settings (Fireball).
2. Make sure that it allows AIM to connect to the internet.
3. Make sure AIM is on the safelist.
4. Try reinstalling AIM.

Seems to be a DNS problem on my machine. ipconfig /flushdns fixed it.

Hey it was my firewall, i put aim on my safe list… and now it works!
it was my firewall so mine works now : )) yay!
