Step1. Exit aim, this means exit the icon also. Then open it back up. If that doesn't work try step 2. Step2.Go to Start>>Run>>>CMD and type ipconfig /flushdns also make sure aim isn't running then after you type flushdns open aim back up. Step3. Go to your firewall settings and add Aim to your list so the firewall allows it. Also make sure it isn't running when you do this. If this doesn't work try re-installing Aim. Seems to be a DNS problem on my machine. ipconfig /flushdns fixed it.
