Less than a couple hours ago from today right now, Google added a new button for “Report Spam”. It previously was hidden away in the “More actions…” dropdown menu. Looks like they’re stepping up the effort in the fight against spam.

I think gmail works better than anything else at reporting spam
Yes, it would appear as so. BUT: I once had a Gmail account that was constantly spammed because I signed up for mailing lists and the like.
There is virtually no way to truly block spammers. Clicking ‘Report Spam’ is similar to pressing the ‘Push here for walk signal’ buttons at intersections. They just dont work.
Sorry, but if Gmails antispam measures were more like Hotmail, they would do much better.
