1 Terabyte (1,000 GB) of Gmail Storage

It looks like the space limit in my Gmail email account is now 1,000 GB (one million megabytes):

1,000 GB of Space in Gmail

I’m not the only one.

My guess is that this increase is in response to Yahoo’s announcement that their free email users will get 100mb space. As if it wasn’t enough already? ;)

Who knows if it’ll stay this way? In any case, feel free to send me an email: technician at gmail dot com (no spam please; I already get it).

Update: If you don’t already have an account, you can get a Gmail invite here.

Match 19, 2006 update: I was thinking of closing comments, but now that I have Paged Comments, it looks okay. I’ll leave it open, at least for the time being. So you can discuss Gmail here. But I really think that it’s much better to discuss in the Gmail forum instead.

abhishek, sent you an invite. It’s not a terabyte, but I think a gig is enough :)

Well, if you put it that way, you can have conversations pretty much about anything, Labeling, searching and sorting are all included with hriders along with signatures, forwarding, address book, forwarding, vacation messages, filters…pretty much all the basics.
AND…the only ads are, well…there are no ads once you’re logged in. :)
But the biggest plus for me is, it’s far easier to get an account there than it is to get one for gmail.
I signed up about a day or 2 after google announced gmail and they said they’ll get in touch with me when they’re ready to go public. still no word.

I want ot get free e-mail account of gmail, which is very easy to use and very big capacity of storgae.
