Sure, it sends out lots of ads - that’s the purpose of it - but they’re probably selling users’ emails to other parties, as well. My YLL email address has been signed up for a “Writing Zen” newsletter (something I never signed up for). Beware!

As far as giving out my email ONLY to YLL, the answer is yes. I have a dedicated email address used only for YLL business.
On the other hand, I agree that the service is not a scam in the sense that people usually think of scams. It tells you what it is, and does what it says.

I agree with Mr-Ress here. I think you concluded too early.
I joined YLL too, and as far as I can think of, there are another two possibilities:
1. YLL shows the email adress of your downline. It could be that one of your upline (the one who owns Writing Zen) registered your email address to his/her list.
2. People can add their list to YLL. So, there is a possibility that an owner of a website to which you registered your email address, put his/her list to YLL.
Make sense, right?

Here is another scam for you. Its called the Nouveau Tech Society. They send you a 4page letter explaining how you are about to enter phase two of your life and a group of very wealthy and famous people chose you to join ther secret clud. There Is a deadline to get this secret book for free. When the book comes it is a short story book about 6 people and how this book changed there lives. There is another deadline to get the real 1000 page book for only 139.00 But you must hurry! This 1000 page book is suposed to give you a 10 second secret.
