I found your post when searching for the exact same thing. According to my posts, the old way of doing this which involved gaim-remote was obsoleted in the 2.0 betas. From my searches, it appears that a fix can be hacked up using &lt;a href="http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=29118&#38;group_id=130826" rel="nofollow"&gt;these instructions&lt;/a&gt; to install &lt;a href="http://fisheye1.cenqua.com/browse/gaim/gaim/src/gaim-remote.py" rel="nofollow"&gt;this script&lt;/a&gt;. I'm downloading Python while I slumber (&lt;a href="http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.4.3/python-2.4.3.msi" rel="nofollow"&gt;quick link&lt;/a&gt;) and hopefully can resume hacking something together in the morning.</description>
