Firefox says aim: “isn’t associated with any program”. I want to associate it with Gaim. How can I do that?
A quick search brought me to this page, but there’s no definitive answer there: a comment notes that gaim-remote isn’t supported on Win32. Anyone have a solution?

In case my computer crashes while this is downloading overnight…
I found your post when searching for the exact same thing. According to my posts, the old way of doing this which involved gaim-remote was obsoleted in the 2.0 betas. From my searches, it appears that a fix can be hacked up using these instructions to install this script. I’m downloading Python while I slumber (quick link) and hopefully can resume hacking something together in the morning.
