emacs redo

emacs is awesome. Not only does it have infinite “undo”, but it also has infinite “redo”. But there’s no “redo” command. Redo is the same thing is undoing an undo. That’s a very logical way of looking at things.

Hi Eliot,

It has been a while since your post, but I guess it deserves an answer!

There is a repeat command (C-x z), see http://www.emacswiki.org/cgi-bin/wiki/RepeatingCommandsLikeVi

Also there is a repeat-complex-command (C-x Esc Esc), see
http://www.emacswiki.org/cgi-bin/wiki/RepeatingComplexCommand

Also check the Emacs Newbie Key Reference
