Animated favicons are the most annoying thing in the world. (boriel.com is currently using one.) Is there a way to disable this in Firefox?

Thanks for the suggestion, andrew247, but that turns off favicons completely. I’m OK with favicons. I just don’t want the animated ones to animate. So that isn’t the solution I’m looking for.
Add “browser.chrome.favicons = false” to about:config.
