Some stuff I need to do…
- Finish reading Zuckerman’s Paper Guide
- Finish reading Judges and Samson Agonistes
- Put RealVNC on my flash drive
- I still need to blog about Men’s Retreat last weekend, and the Google Open House last week. I wonder if I’ll get my dream job at Google. I hope I expressed enough of my maturity, passion, enthusiasm, and ability to learn quickly
- I heard on Leo Laporte’s podcast that HP has some cool new touchscreen desktops. I want to find more info about them and see if I can get one next year
- One of my visitors on Google Community poses these questions: “Can I get my email signature to have color automatically, rather than doing it manually?” and “Is it possible to get any color at all when using Safari with Gmail?”
- I’m still looking for a way to find out which of my Gmail contacts have Picasa Web Albums. There seems to be no way to tell, outside of manually typing in URLs. Maybe this is one of the things I can work on, if I get to go to Google

Yesterday I posted about how great Firefox’s upgrade procedure is. Today, I want to contrast that with an “Update Manager” that’s really terrible.

When I fired up Firefox this evening, it installed a new update and brought me to this page. It was a very good and problem-free upgrade experience. It’s nice to see Firefox keeping on top of things, where Internet Explorer doesn’t.

Today I realized I’m a fanatic. I have an “irrational enthusiasm” for things I love. At the current stage in my life, that means (1) Google, (2) Firefox, (3) InterVarsity, pretty much in that order. Google is one of the most exciting things in my mind. I actively seek to learn more about Google and I’m trying to get a position there myself. I love using Google products and regardless of whether they make me an offer, I’ll continue using and promoting Google. I became the Google Ambassador for USC, a volunteer gig where Google gives me money to buy food for computer science students to take study breaks, that’s how crazy I am about Google. I love getting to know Googlers and to imagine what kind of resources they have and what ideas I would have for improving their products. Quite honestly, I love thinking about Google and using their products. I can try to avoid it, but I’m sure I’ll come back to it. Google is just a great company.

Talk about getting a jolt in the morning! Sonic Bomb Alarm Clock, louder than a jackhammer.
I randomly found a Google Video called “How do we know that Christians are delusional?” The user who created and uploaded the video claims that Christians are exactly like Mormons and Muslims, and that the basis of Christianity is a fairytale. It was interesting, but nothing new.

Yay, I actually made a good edit to a Wikpedia article that didn’t immediately get reverted. [Update] It’s still there, so all is well. Wikipedia rocks! The statement I edited now reads:
