I thought this day would never come, but it has. As of now, anyone can sign up for a free Gmail account. It is, quite simply, the best email in existence. Plus, Google’s put together a hilarious 4-act video series on why to use Gmail.
Valentine’s Day is a fine holiday. It’s especially cool to get a random card from a friend. You can show love any day of the year, but if it weren’t for Valentine’s Day, some people probably wouldn’t. So I disagree with someone named bill. And it’s a good day to open Gmail to the world, too. It’s important to note, though, that Gmail is still in beta.
This reminds me of the recent article I wrote for Viterbi Views, a fresh newsletter published by the engineering school. In it, I discussed USC Email, and the merits of using Gmail instead. And I made reference to the fact that it requires an invite. Well, that’s outdated now ![]()
