Here's a simple, straightforward service to get pictures from your iPhone to other people. Yes, it involves e-mail, but you don't have to remember each carrier's e-mail domain (and let's not even touch the fact of figuring out what carrier your friend is using if he/she's changed carriers but kept their phone number...)

This generation in the market now i think it is just a matter of testing the market about the new technolegy in terms of touch and thin moile phone

While I understand that we can e-mail pictures from out iPhones to other people, it is still an issue. When you use MMS, you do not need to know what carrier the person you are sending to uses. Sending it as an e-mail to their phone, means that you will have to know every carriers unique e-mail for their clients phones. not to mention what carrier your friends use. I don't know about everyone else, but it would be much easier to simply type in their number as opposed to asking what carrier they use and if they know thier phones e-mail address.

iPhone does have MMS... sorta. It's called email. Or you can always send email to a phone (8025551212@mms.att.net, for example.

I'm actually really disapointed that it didn't have mms.
Why would they not include technology that's been around for years? Didn't make any sense to me.

The biggest offender right now is Verizon. They seem to be blocking customers from sending photos as emails, instead forcing them through the stupid Vcast web page. Unfortunately they compress the photos so bad that they're all blurry and pixelated.

Stupid Verizon.

I think I read it somewhere that even with 3G, it'll be slower than WiFi. And much of the infrasturcture is not in place. Meh, just lots of the chatter I read on /.
