While on my cruise, it came time to pay the tips to my waiter, assistant waiter, head waiter, and stateroom attendant. Since I had gotten to know them during the trip, I wondered if it would be considered poor taste to leave my business card in the tip envelope. I Googled for “cruise tip leave business card in envelope” and came up with a bunch of answers - all boiling down to “yes.” Not a single objection could be found, so I left my business card with them.
Meanwhile, I found a truly excellent site called Cruise Knowledge. Definitely take the time to read that site if you’re going on a cruise. Many of the insights there I learned on my own, while on the trip! I might take the time to recap them someday, but I don’t have time right now.
