Now it’s time for a real debate.
On Thursday, October 23, at 9:00 PM ET (I believe that’s 6:00 PM PST) in Washington, DC, Chuck Baldwin will be debating with other third party candidates. They will show voters they don’t have to settle for the socialist policies of Obama or McCain.

On the way back to my apartment, I was listening to AM 740, “K-Bright” KBRT. Today is September 11, 2008. They had a special feature in which they recounted the events of September 11, 2001. As they talked about plane crashes, the actions of the FAA, the buildings collapsing… tears welled up in my eyes. But no tears fell yet.

I ran into a thread called USC olympics at CollegeConfidential.com. I didn’t verify these facts, but they’re probably right: Read the rest of this entry »

Some time ago, USC removed the list of Top Ten Professors from the Senate Course Guide. It’s old, biased, and unfair, but I’ve archived it here anyway.

On Tuesday, June 3, 2008, I voted in the California Statewide Election. The results are online now at the Secretary of State’s website. For the U.S. Congress, District 26 voted for Russell Warner over Cynthia Matthews on the Democratic side, and David Dreier over Sonny Sardo on the Republican side. Walnut is in the 26th Congressional District, along with Arcadia, Claremont, and La Canada Flintridge. For the State Assembly, voters selected Curt Hagman over Larry Dick for the Republicans.

Yesterday, I talked with my friend Steven. We’ve been friends for many, many years. However, he has selected a much different path than mine, and we haven’t talked much recently. The main thing that struck me from our conversation is that he doesn’t know what to do with his life. What to spend his time on, what kind of job to get, what kind of life to live. He’s taking some time off from school, and it’s mainly for the purpose of finding a job. But he has only vague ideas of the job he’s seeking. My impression was that he needed motivation.

I recently picked up this small booklet from a local Target retailer. It was a great read, especially for a disorganized person like me. (Note, though, that organization is learned, not inherited.) A good portion of the book talks about setting very specific plans, missions, and goals for cleaning up and organizing. Why do they spend so much time on such trivial talk, when they could instead be getting down to the nitty gritty techniques that really make a difference? (These techniques are also included.) First, let me say that if you don’t want to read what I have to say about politics (as one reader recently told me), then take a look at my business blog or technology blog instead (and subscribe to them by email). Otherwise, here’s a very compelling video supporting Ron Paul…
(If it says “We’re sorry, this video is no longer available.” just Refresh the page and try again. It WILL work.)I don’t intend to make this a political blog, but it is a personal blog, so I post about whatever interests me. If you’re interested in business, sign up for my blog Track Forward. If interested in technology, sign up for The Web Guy. Keep reading for a video of the Ron Paul Story… Read the rest of this entry »

With 3 days until the New Year, there are 2 obvious things that come to mind: reviewing the year behind us, and looking forward to the year ahead.
