Here’s an interesting article about Vista’s broken “Time Machine.”

I was sitting around today wondering how best to back up my Vista computer, so I Googled “Time Machine for Windows Vista.” Sorry! No good solution yet. If you have a suggestion, leave a comment!

There is a utility from IBM’s Tivoli called CDP - Continuous Data Protection. It’s ~40$ and does what time machine does. The good news is that it can use a remote network location as your backup destination, as well as external hard drives. Their restore feature doesn’t have a great UI, but it’s entreprise grade software, and it works well for my home use :)
