What is the Productivity Center Supplement for ThinkPad?

I’m installing the ThinkVantage Productivity Center on my new Vista install, and it’s asking to install the Productivity Supplement for ThinkPad. Since I don’t know what it is, I will opt to not install it.

10.8V and 14.4V Batteries Compatible?

I don’t think they are, but the new battery I got has a sticker on it saying it’s 10.8v, while the official battery offered by Lenovo claims to be 14.4v. How is this?

When I bought my IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad Z61t, I chose the lowest-end battery option because the battery is one of the easiest parts to replace in a laptop computer. I always intended to someday get a battery that would last longer, so that I could truly have laptop portability.
