Not to be arrogant or anything, but if I die in some kind of accident, I can’t help but wonder…

What if I hadn’t? (If I ever do – and I realize, chances are not good.)

I like to invent things. I want to keep on top of other developments.

What if I would have revolutionized the world? What if I would have changed it more than the cotton gin did clothing; more than the production line did industry; more than the light bulb did the work day; more than movable type did education; more than the transistor did electronics; more than the internet did communications? What if I change the world even more than these things did?

But I don’t. For one reason or another. Perhaps I miss the opportunity. Perhaps an accident occurs. Prehaps I die.

A single person can have an incredible impact on everything. Sometimes it scares me.
