Can you believe it? It feels like just yesterday I was working at my summer internship with Google. It was truly an amazing experience, and very humbling to work with such bright people. Recently, I’ve been catching myself wishing that other people were smarter. Well, it’s usually me who’s the dumb one. At the same time, I realized the potential I really did have to pull off some crucial projects. I have to be honest: working in Software Quality Assurance Engineering wasn’t a glamorous job. There were times when we simply had to yield to the developers. But having the opportunity to try new features before they hit production, and having the pride of catching a critical bug, were all incredible rushes to have on the job.
There are a mere 3 days of school left at USC. In my semester off, I’ve learned a lot about internet marketing. But how much progress have I actually made? If measured in dollars and cents, not so much. Technical knowledge alone won’t cut it in the business world. An internet marketing education is needed. That’s what Joel Comm promises in his Secret Classroom DVD set. If that interests you, take a look and let me know what you think of it. It’s a long salesletter, so even I don’t have time to read through it all right now… but it’s important enough that I will make a point of coming back to it later.
