Ron Paul and The Media

I like Mike Huckabee. There’s a site at IndependentPrimary.com where you can vote for a candidate. I voted Mike Huckabee. But depending on how things turn out, this could easily change to Ron Paul or John McCain. I’m currently investigating Dennis Kucinich, although he’s a Democrat, I’ll keep an eye on him. How To Vote In Primaries And Not Be An Idiot – supports Kucinich, which I don’t agree with – but I learned a lot about how primaries work.

So, Huckabee is a top choice, but Ron Paul is very intriguing as well. My mom mentioned that it’s unfortunate that we don’t have a great candidate on either side, that everyone is so split. I disagree. Votes are split because there are many great candidates. Obviously, nobody is perfect, but I seriously don’t know anyone who could do a better job than any of my current top 3 (Huckabee, Paul, McCain). So they’re all pretty good people, and I’m impressed. Just learning about them has taught me a lot, and you can really tell these are smart people.

(I never had this impression with a Bush or Clinton.) Read on for some YouTube videos…

December 16 is the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. Ron Paul supporters are hoping to raise $10 million in a single day of donations. I blogged this before, but here’s the link again.

Here’s a YouTube video pick.

I do not agree with Ron Paul on everything, but the things I disagree on are not crucial issues. He also presented an eye-opening view on homosexuality: it deals with their own soul. We all sin, so we should just be treated as individuals with the same rights.

Pro-life makes sense: If a pregnant mother is killed, it’s 2 murders. Furthermore, the federal government has no right to make a decision.

Article: Why it doesn’t matter whether Ron Paul is a Christian

“I have never been one who is comfortable talking about my faith in the political arena. In fact, the pandering that typically occurs in the election season I find to be distasteful. But for those who have asked, I freely confess that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior, and that I seek His guidance in all that I do. I know, as you do, that our freedoms come not from man, but from God.” Ron Paul

That is good for me. Sounds like what my own position would probably be, if I ever ran for President.

“By the Christian Right’s own criteria, their candidate ought to be Ron Paul.”

Open Questions:

  • Do we support pre-emptive war?
  • When did the USA become a superpower… after WWII?
  • Early on, the USA wasn’t very great, was it?

The people in Washington do not have perfect knowledge.

Ron Paul ad. Great freedom message…

BEST AD I’VE SEEN ALL NIGHT… And I’ve seen a lot of them.
Idea: The media is losing is grasp on controlling public opinion.

The media does not represent the opinions of the majority. Absolutely right.

I don’t want 23+ years of Bush’s and Clinton’s. “It is your duty as an American…” LOL.

America supports Ron Paul, and the media is dumb. Video for the November 5th campaign (largest one-day internet donation in HISTORY).

Paul has views outside of the mainstream. Thanks to YouTube, Google, blogging, etc. this is the first election where I can actually get to KNOW the candidates and what they actually stand for, right from their own mouths!

With this info and records, hopefully Presidents will be kept MUCH more accountable today than in the past.

Hillary voted for the war. Ron Paul voted against it. I do not know if I support the war or not. I honestly do not know enough about it.
