Owl City – The Christmas Song Lyrics

I learned of this song from Vicky Sun. I wasn’t sure what I thought of it the first time I listened, but I liked it a lot more the second time. Now I think it’s great. It was hard to find the lyrics, so I’ll repost them below.

Owl City – The Christmas Song

It’s Christmas and we walk alone
Two strangers with no one to miss us
On our own
Out in the cold

Trudging onward
Braving a harsh winter storm
You and I met passing by
And now our spirits feel warm

I don’t have anyone at home to talk to
And you don’t have anything to do
So I’ll spend my Christmas with you
I’ll spend my Christmas with you

It’s Christmas and we are in love
With the way that the soft snowflakes kiss us
From far above
The blustery breeze

Trudging onward
Braving a harsh winter storm
You and I met passing by
And now our spirits feel warm

I believe that Jesus is truly the only way
I celebrate Christmas because it’s his birthday

I don’t have anyone at home to talk to
And you don’t have anything to do
So I’ll spend my Christmas with you
I’ll spend my Christmas with you
I’ll spend my Christmas with you
I’ll spend my Christmas with you

hahahaha yeah.. “I believe that Jesus is truly the only way
I celebrate Christmas because it’s his birthday”‘ is a very good line.. it’s like so true!! I didn’t know Adam Young’s a christian.. oh well.. it’s a good thing.. :D

  21. Tony says:

I love Owl City and the song too.
But Jesus is a fictional person and the whole story is a big myth.
Every adult human should be able to know this. So to sing or speak about or believe in a funny myth like it’s our all destiny … thats very absurd…we all have only manlike skills …

still a good song and a great artist ;)

  22. christinn says:

    i love thisss songg
i believe jesus is the onlyyy way is my favorite parttt
owl cityy is amazzinggg forr sureee :)

  23. christinn says:

umm jesus is not a fictional person. absolutly not true.
you may not belive him as savior but a man named jesus is a real person that died on a cross. ask any historian

  24. Tony says:

i dont know if he was really alive … nobody knows. because all historians only refer to sources accured lots of years after jesus’ pretended life. there are no notations about him from historians lived in “jesus’ time” … in my opinion he is only a funny device just to have strength above humans because the most believe in it without thinking about the facts.
the day will come when humans will know it and give more believe in theirselves. just yet believers in god actually arouse their subconsciousness by praying in something…all they achieve in life is human power … or do you really believe in a god allows millions of starving children in a world? or allows war and violence? there can be no talk of a “good god” … if he (or she, hm?) does exist i never want to deal with him…nevertheless im not an anti-christ … i listen to a lot of christian musicians because they’re good artists and my bandmember is a christian, too. ;)
