Snow Leopard Upgrade Time: 1 Hour

I just (finally!) upgraded my main computer, a MacBook Pro, to Snow Leopard (from 10.5.8 Leopard). It took 1 hour. My processor is a 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, I have 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, my hard drive has 53.26 GB free, and there are 98 files in my Applications folder.

I’d had the Developer Preview, but I wasn’t willing to risk my main hard drive with a beta OS, so I only installed it on an external hard drive.

Software Update currently reports no new updates to install. Did Snow Leopard download any updates during the install process? I know (thanks to Little Snitch) that it accessed the Internet – but I didn’t pay attention to why, or what it did.

I recently bought a 22″ Dell LCD monitor, 1080p resolution (1920×1080 px). DVI and VGA input, $139. Works beautifully with my MBP. All together, this is a fairly nice setup.

How long did your upgrade take?
