Ron Paul at Nye County Rally, at the Skate Zone, 1261 E Calvada Blvd, Pahrump, NV

Earlier today, I went to Ron Paul’s Rally in Pahrump, Nevada. It was my first real political event.

Shortly before the event started, I went in front of the stage and asked a random young lady to take my photo.

Ron Paul had a box to stand on behind the pulpit. He’s probably about my height — that is to say, not very tall.

Ron gave a fantastic speech. Quite standard fare for him.

Afterward, I got him to sign my two Ron Paul books, and took a photo with him.

Then I made an effort to talk with various attendees.

I met one man who said he would not caucus because he will be busy with work tomorrow.

I met another who will caucus near Pahrump. We talked about what the caucuses are like. He was in a group with two ladies, one of which participated in the caucus in 2008. That year, the Republican and Democratic caucuses where combined, in the same location at the same time. I don’t know whether it will be that way again. They will be wearing white and directing people on where to go for their respective precincts.

I talked with a reporter named Alexandra. She attends events for all the Republican candidates. She writes for the Times of London. I gave her my name, age, and profession. Who knows? I could show up in the paper.

Finally, I met Aaron, who will be caucusing in Las Vegas at 8 AM. He is aiming to be a Ron Paul delegate. I will try to join him and see what that’s like.

Now I’m here in Las Vegas for Ron Paul’s couple of events here. The next one will begin in 12 minutes.
