I think that snape and voldemort will be killed by Harry, and Ron or Hermoine will die protecting Harry from them. I hope that snape gets kiled because if he isnt killed, i will be pretty mad.
Well, I don’t think anyone will read this since all of the HBP hub-bub is over, but I NEED to put my thoughts into writing.
I think JKR ended the book how she did to give herself 2 options: 1. That Dumbledore cannot really be dead (but gets snuffed in book 7) and; 2. That Snape really did kill him and he is no more, except in memories or portraits, for book 7.
JKR definitely left enough evidence for both of her options, so she could definitely do either one in book 7. Perhaps she is just waiting to hear the feedback on HBP to determine what Dumbledore’s story will be for book 7.
My questions are:
Why did Dumbledore “Freeze” Harry just before Malfoy came through the tower door? In his weakened state, wouldn’t he want more firepower on his side? Harry could have picked off every Death Eater as they came through the door while unseen beneath his invisibility cloak. Dumbledore seemed to have (and boasted about his) powerful brain, where was it at that time?
What if rendering Harry immobile was according to plan? So Dumbledore could try and persuade Malfoy, and ultimately have Snape “kill” Dumbledore in front of the Death Eaters to show that he was loyal to Voldy so Snape could gain more trust of Voldy, to then assist in the destruction of old Voldy?
The evidence for that later scenario does seem overwhelming. Dumbledore telling Malfoy that they could pretend Malfoy was killed, and then be hidden and protected by the Order of the Phoenix. He even said the same concerning Draco’s mom and dad. And who else was it that “killed” Dumbledore other than a member of the Order, whom Dumbledore thoroughly trusted? Snape could have done a lot more damage that night as well, but refrained from hexing Harry, or Hagrid, or Ron, or Hermione or anyone else that crossed his path.
It is my fear, however, that Dumbledore is gone (memories in the pensieve and his portrait notwithstanding) since it definitely fits in the overall plot of the seven-book series. He needed to die in book 6, and Harry snuffs Voldy in book 7. The only reason I think this is because when Sirius died, there was no recourse over that, it was simply “Sirius is dead, mourn your loss, and get over it, kid”. I wouldn’t be surprised if the same thing happened with Dumbledore’s death.
I don’t think Harry is a horcrux of Voldy, Dumbledore said that Voldy could not inhabit (or possess) Harry at all, that it nearly killed both of them when Voldemort attempted possession of Harry at the end of OOTP. Harry has too much love in him to for it to be possible.

Snape killed Dumbeldore because Dumbeldore told him to.
It’s hinted at several times in the book, re-read it, e.g. Hagrid hears Snape argue with Dumbeldore over obeying his order. The murder scene itself is portayed from Harry’s point of view so Harry of course is bound to see it as Snape’s treachery. Dumbeldore’s “pleading” is not for mercy, but for Snape to do what he promised (If necessary, which it was at that point).
Book 7 ought to reveal what was truly going on with regard to the events of Snape/Dumbeldore (Though for the moment it’s fair to say that Snape is well & truly in the trust of all Death Eaters/Voldemort now). Think back to Prisoner Of Azkaban, they did a similar storyline with Sirius, albeit Sirius’ innocence was established in the same book.

For example, why didn’t dumbledore get married? is he? where will all of his money go? i theorize that he was married and lily was his child, making harry his grandson and HEIR!

There´s something weird about everything. To my point of view, Dumbledore beg Snape to kill him. He was so affected already by the curse the horcrux ring had, & also the potion he drank from the stone thing in the cave. Snape DID the unbreakable vow with Narcissa, so he had to kill Dumbledore to survive, somehow Dumbledore knew that. Both where arguing once & Hagrid heard them… What was all about?
Also Slughorn said to Harry that he is as good as her mother in potions. As far as i know, Snape & Lily where in the same class, so who helped who to be good at potions? I also think that Snape may have loved lily. He always showed hatred to James; he told Voldemort about the profecy & may have had suggested to only kill James (Voldemort killed James & then told Lily to stand back to kill Harry). Harry looks a lot like James, so he may work as a reminder to Snape (about James & the sacrifice Lily did) & in the end, Snape may change (or reveal himself) to inflict the final blow to Voldemort.
In the flight of the Half-blood Prince, Snape didn´t wanted Harry to be killed. He in fact told Harry ,while he was attacking him, to learn to shut his mouth & mind to succes any of the attacks to stop Snape.
About Harry being a Horcrux, he could be. The last one perhaps. And then Neville could become the new danger about the profecy & finish Voldemort for the sake of all. But this may not be what will happen. Who knows?

Neville and Luna are the most isolated students we know of at Hogwarts, I think the book tells you that they were the only ones that kept an eye out for the DA signal, so I don’t think it makes them loyal, sad is more accurate.
Snape taking the vow still does not rule out the possibility that he is not a traitor. If he has already promised Dumbledore that he would kill him when the time came, it would be an easy vow to take.
The opening scene with the muggle minister is different, the only purpose would be to confirm what we have been told in previous books about communication between the two worlds. It also shows us how far Fudge has fallen in the scheme of things and allows the reader to see an early contrast between the ex and new minister of magic.
Now that we know Snape is the Half Blood Prince, you have to acknowledge that he is no ordinary wizard, he thinks out of the box so to speak, does not follow the rules and seems to be quick on his feet. I think Snape fans have a lot to be impressed about the newly defined Snape. If he is on the good side as I believe Voldamort has a potential rival in his midst.

I agree with Je. It is not like Dumbledore to Beg, especially to Snape! What if the Begging and groveling was just a signal to Snape to kill him? Maybe he was dying already(the hand gives a hint!), and want to be finished off in some bizarre twist to the plot.

Im on my 3rd time reading it and each time i seem to notice more little bits of information that give me theories about the 7th book…I think that R.A.B is Regulus Black for the simple facts that the black goblet was dropped and seemed to serve no purpose apart from gettin harry mad, and because voldemort thinks he is the only one who knows about his horcruxes and dumbledore mentions that he would not want to kill the person trying to get his horcruxes imidiately, so he could find out how they knew etc, killing RAB wud be a significant kill (as dumbldore said voldemort would make horcruxes after) thus making the goblet a horcrux, it seems very voldamortish. Snape i feel sure is evil as you’v got to mean unforgivable curses, and dumbledore is dead. However i think that snape and james potter will be linked more in book 7, and that snape inadvertadly getting james killed really was his biggest regret, which is perhaps why he wudnt like getting called a coward at the end? Im on my 3rd time reading it and each time i seem to notice more little bits of information that give me theories about the 7th book…I think that R.A.B is Regulus Black for the simple facts that the black goblet was dropped and seemed to serve no purpose apart from gettin harry mad, and because voldemort thinks he is the only one who knows about his horcruxes and dumbledore mentions that he would not want to kill the person trying to get his horcruxes imidiately, so he could find out how they knew etc, killing RAB wud be a significant kill (as dumbldore said voldemort would make horcruxes after) thus making the goblet a horcrux, it seems very voldamortish. Snape i feel sure is evil as you’v got to mean unforgivable curses, and dumbledore is dead. However i think that snape and james potter will be linked more in book 7, and that snape inadvertadly getting james killed really was his biggest regret, which is perhaps why he wudnt like getting called a coward at the end?
