Seems to be a DNS problem on my machine. ipconfig /flushdns fixed it.

You are a Golden God. If a firewall isn’t the problem that is.

Remeber for the less computer adept goto:
    Start –> Run —> cmd

    then type:

    ipconfig /flushdns

Thank you very much sir, that was most defintly my problem. That Geek above for the solution!

I cheked and added it to the Windows Firewall and that DID NOT solve the problem – I then check the Anti-virus program and turned off the firewall and that WORKED!

I disabled my firewall, disabled all my virus/spyware programs. None of that worked. I did the ipconfig /flushdns in the cmd thing, that didn’t work either. It still gives me the ” Unknown Error. Please try again Later.” shit. And it does it when I go to My Aim, Edit options, Edit Preferences, Privacy. All my privacy settings become gray, and i can’t click on them. Then it pops up ” Unknown Error ” blah blah. Does ANYONE have a solutioN ? :\ Msg me at sickex or e-mail me at [email protected]

Hey guys, here’s some steps that may be useful.

Step1. Exit aim, this means exit the icon also. Then open it back up. If that doesn’t work try step 2.

    Step2.Go to Start>>Run>>>CMD and type ipconfig /flushdns
also make sure aim isn’t running then after you type flushdns open aim back up.

Step3. Go to your firewall settings and add Aim to your list so the firewall allows it. Also make sure it isn’t running when you do this. If this doesn’t work try re-installing Aim.

Hope my steps were useful, thanks for reading!
