Spamming all Gmail accounts?

I found this in the inbox of a Gmail account whose address I never gave out in any way, shape, or form.

I got the same thing, from a “secret” gmail account with a name that’s probably not guessable (not the one that appears on my webpage.)

  2. Igrecpoint says:

Idem for me, but don’t you feel strange for a web awwarded designer there’s no url ?

  3. Anonymous says:

I got a similar one from a [email protected], asking me to join his friends’ network at Orkut.

  4. rob says:

the guy emailed me too asking if i could join his friends network. so I emailed him back asking how he got my email. his reply:
I am Webdesigner, you can see my profile at Orkut.
As Webdesigner i have the ability to search some emails at Orkut and Gmail.
Il’d like to join your friend’s network. Reason: i need more
and more friends connected to me at Orkut.
    GET THE INVITATION!

    Thank you,

  6. Chris says:

I just got the exact same email as C@rio requesting an Orkut invite. Thought I’d do a search on this guy which led me here. Glad this info is here so I know to just ignore him. Thanks

  7. mikko says:

Got the same thing from this guy. Not sure what he’s after, but I got the “please invite me to your orkut network” as well as the “I’m a webdesigner looking for work” email. Terrible. He needs to be shut down.

  11. bay says:

I too recieved this email for friends at Orkut, his profile on Orkut is http://www.orkut.com/Profile.aspx?uid=5343414494912905120 and at the moment I looked has 51 friends. I’m connectly so oddly to this guy through people that probably just said sure why not.

  12. Anonymous says:

SPAM someone is very desperate for friends! poor chap!

  13. sam says:

Funny – I got an email to my gmail account from a J.E Fatuch asking for an invite to Orkut. Searching for his name found your blog as the top entry.

  14. the rhino says:

yeah – me too – same story – odd

  15. Felipe Vieira says:

    “Hello,
Please can you invite me to join your friends network at Orkut.com?
    My Name: J.E Fatuch
    My Email: [email protected]
    Thank you,
    J.E”

Same story to me… it’s too wierd and not reliable…

  16. Stian says:

Got an Orkut invitation as well. Googled the name, came here. Looks like this Fatuch guy isn’t going to get many friends, despite of his effort.

  17. Lech says:

Yup, this email hit my inbox like a month ago as well as a few of my friends inboxes on gmail. Doing a short google search pointed me back to unimundi.com. Judging by the quality of the design, if I had the money to spare, I would probably pay this dude $1000 to take some design and code courses. If you’re even more curious you can do a whois on the domain and it’s pretty much the same character.

  18. rote says:

    I got something similar.

  19. bastard says:

    Spetiam,
Looks like it is injected via SMTP, rather than the webmail interface. mx.gmail.com is allowing mail from:< @gmail.com>, which is weird. I just tested it by send an email to my self. gmail.com SPF is neutral (?all), maybe they don’t like spf, or aren’t using it yet for spam processing, or just waiting to see what everyone else does.

My [email protected] comes from 200.175.4.18.adsl.gvt.net.br as well, so he’s setup some automatic mailer. Looks like a standard dsl connection, eh?

Posted here cause this is what google found first.

  20. Nirvelli says:

I got a few from this guy, some in my spam, one in my inbox.
    Kinda wierd.

  21. James Smith says:

I reported it as spam Oct. 4 but I can’t be the first. why is Google so slow?

  22. Corey says:

Got a new one from the now (in)famous JE Fatuch. 2:02am CST
    I pasted it below:

    J.E Fatuch to myfriends

Hello, this is an global message:

    2) To: people that has asked me if i know you:
Not, i`m just a human looking for friends. Are you human? Why are you so prevented? Please add me to yours friends list.

  23. Chris says:

I just got the exact same message. What is this guy up to? Crazy stuff. Maybe he really is lonely? LOL.

  24. i got it too,
the poor guy has 5,560 emails in his inbox, lets cry for him.
lets actually cry though for the 5,560 lonely morons who replied before googling his name. i feel like my grandmother was one of them.

  25. C@rio says:

I’ve received his “To: my new friends mail” too.
This does it, I’m reporting this as spam.
